About the Platform
Visual Dynamics Labs is a platform for collaborative research, education, and media production focused on global art infrastructures and Black artistic practice. Programs bring together artists, scholars, curators, writers, and cultural practitioners to examine how artistic ideas, institutions, and cultural infrastructures move across boundaries.
Through research gatherings, educational programs, and media production, the platform brings together practitioners and scholars working across visual art, film, curatorial practice, and cultural history.
Our programs create spaces for collective inquiry into contemporary artistic practice while also addressing the historical and political structures that shape global art worlds.
Current initiatives focus on the intersections of:
global art infrastructures
Black artistic practice
cultural diplomacy
transnational networks linking Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
